Conlin's Week 16 NFL Picks

For the last week, I've been doing nothing but writing my NBA preview and working around the clock on this new blog. As such, my picks are going to be a lot like last week, when I was rushing through Finals week and ended up at 6-8-2 (although this was much better than I was expecting to do). I'm writing this at the same time that I'm trying to write Part III of my NBA Preview, so I'm just going to rush through these as fast as I can. Home teams are in CAPS.

Houston (-7) over INDIANAPOLIS

Off to a good start already.

KANSAS CITY (-2.5) over Oakland

Oakland's suckitude knows no bounds. It's possible that all four AFC East teams could finish at 8-8. It won't happen, simply because Tebow won't allow it to, but it'd be hilarious if it did.

Denver (-3) over BUFFALO

Tebow.

TENNESSEE (-7) over Jacksonville

As long as Jacksonville's top four Wide Receivers are Chastin West, Jarett Dillard, Kassim Osgood, and Taylor Price, I'm going to gamble against them regardless of how many points they're getting against any team.

Arizona (+4.5) over CINCINNATI

I have no idea. I really don't.

NEW ENGLAND (-9.5) over Miami

The Patriots can effectively lock up the #1 seed with a win, they should come out firing. I still don't know who on Miami is going to even dream of covering Gronkowski or Hernandez.

BALTIMORE (-12.5) over Cleveland

I'm willing to stipulate that I should just bet on Baltimore whenever they're home and against them whenever they're on the road. That seems to be the distinction.

New York Giants (+3) over NEW YORK JETS

I'm taking the points. I hate this game.

WASHINGTON (-7) over Minnesota

The Redskins seem to be enjoying some ironic hipness. Of course, that means that they'll probably lose this game by 20, but what do I know?

CAROLINA (-7.5) over Tampa Bay

Tampa Bay sucks. I say it every week.

PITTSBURGH (-12.5) over St. Louis

Even if Charlie Batch plays I still think they cover this. St. Louis is the worst team in the league, and I can actually say that now that Indianapolis has two wins.

San Diego (+2) over DETROIT

Detroit is trying as hard as they can to blow their playoff spot, and they just might be able to pull it off if they get some help from Arizona or Seattle. Speaking of Seattle..

SEATTLE (+2) over San Francisco

It's happening. Trust me.

Philadelphia (+1.5) over DALLAS

The only way for this Philly season to end making any sense is if it makes no sense at all. That's why they're going to win this game, and then win the Super Bowl.

GREEN BAY (-12) over Chicago

Caleb Hanie, getting less than two full touchdowns, on the road, against the best team in the league? Next.

Atlanta (+7) over NEW ORLEANS

'Cuz.

Three Team Tease of The Week:

Green Bay (to -2), Pittsburgh (to -2.5), Baltimore (to -2.5)

This Week: 0-1
Last Week: 6-8-2
Season: 105-111-9
Teases: 9-6
