Cristiano Ronaldo's 10 Greatest Goals

By Justin Sherman (@JShermOfficial)

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a pair of goals in Wednesday's Champions League match against Malmö, reaching two historic milestones in the process.

With his first goal, Ronaldo joined the illustrious 500 goal club, becoming its 25th member all-time. With his second, he equaled Raúl’s club record of 323 goals for Los Blancos. Raúl’s tally was achieved in 741 appearances, while Ronaldo took a mere 308 to match him.

In honor of the prolific forward's historic milestones, we countdown the Top-10 goals of Cristiano Ronaldo’s career.

10). Real Madrid vs. Galatasaray, Champions League Group Stage, 09-17-2013

Ronaldo blasts a stunning free kick from 35 yards to crush Arsenal’s UCL dreams.

8). Real Madrid vs. Valencia, La Liga, 05-04-2014

With his team down 1-2 in the 92nd minute, Ronaldo pulls off an incredible back heel off a volley to equalize.

7). Real Madrid vs. Osasuna, La Liga, 12-11-2012

Another long range effort from Ronaldo perfectly spotted into the upper left corner, but arguably even better was his epic goal celebration.

6). Real Madrid vs. Levante, La Liga, 02-13-2012

Ronaldo delivers a shot reminiscent of a roller coaster drop, as he caps of his hat-trick with a bang.

5). Manchester United vs. Portsmouth, BPL, 01-16-2008

One of Ronaldo’s finest moments at Old Trafford. With the ball situated 23 yards out and slightly to an angle, Ronaldo smashes a knuckleball that dips just at the last second.

4). Real Madrid vs. Barcelona, Copa Del Rey Final, 04-20-2011

With Barcelona at the apex of its powers, Ronaldo heads a goal home in extra time to give him his first meaningful silverware with Madrid at the expense of their arch rivals.

3). Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid, La Liga, 04-11-2012

In a midweek clash against rival Atletico, Ronaldo silences the Calderon with a stunning free kick and even better commentary from Ray Hudson.

2). Manchester United vs. Porto, Champions League Quarterfinal, 04-15-2009

Ronaldo’s blistering strike from 40 yards out is the game's only goal as United win 1-0 and become the first English side to win away at Porto.

1). Real Madrid vs. Rayo Vallecano, La Liga, 02-26-2012

Back-heels are generally regarded as some of the most amazingly difficult goals to pull off, and most that are successful come from very close range. Ronaldo not only pulled it off, but it was from 12 yards out from an angle: Astonishing.
