Bob Lobel: Pets Named Brady

By Bob Lobel (@boblobel)

It was bound to happen, just a matter of time.

How much time exactly?

In dog years, I think we are talking about 105. That seems like a lot, but it really isn’t. Actually, it has gone by way too fast and will be over before we know it. Some fans have figured out how to personalize, and maybe, prolong the Tom Brady experience.

Name your pet Brady.

How many have actually done that?  More than you think.

Dogs lead the list, of course. Cats just don’t cut it, but neither do rabbits or parakeets. Plus, Belichick doesn’t cut it either.  Actually, you can prove me wrong and enlighten everyone else by Tweeting a picture of your pet you named Belichick to @SuiteSports, or by posting it on our Facebook page.

You're going to have to send some identification with it because, frankly, I don’t think there is any kind of pet named Belichick. Brady is another matter!

So please, if you have a pet named Brady, like the rest of the pictures here, send it to us to share. Kids have been named  Brady, plenty of them.  Show me one named Belichick!

So  take the selfie of the pet named Brady no matter what it is.  You might actually find a goat or llama or something  like that.

WARNING: No snakes. Fish, ok. Snakes, not ok.

Other less threatening reptiles could make the cut, but we reserve the right to exclude pictures that are not in the spirit of this exercise. Try us out and we can make a picture album for future inclusion  online, in papers and, maybe, the Patriots Hall of Fame.

So check out these fan favorites that our in-person search has produced.

You probably have taken a look at these critters and wish you named your pet Brady. That’s exactly what I felt, realizing the pedestrian names of Cody and Molly, Spike and Dutchess, blah blah blah.  We may just have a contest for the most adorable pet named Brady.

Realizing that most people want a pet called Brady, it's not too late to send one that is about to be liberated from the litter. There must be plenty of unnamed candidates. Not many Peytons out there, but there may be a Rex or two.

So, remember this: He is leading the league as the best quarterback, so bring on the pets we know and love.  Try this on for size, “here Brady, here Brady... Come on up on my lap. Good boy.”  Sure sounds good to me.
