Foxboro, Mass. - In a Friday night double-header, Nashoba and North Andover captured MIAA football state championships at Gillette Stadium.

Nashoba's Division 4 title game victory over Dighton-Rehoboth and North Andover's D2 win over King Philip kicked off a full weekend of high school pigskin at the home of the Patriots. North Andover, Mass. - In one of the more shocking results from this MIAA football sectional final weekend, North Andover completely dominated Lincoln-Sudbury, defeating the Warriors 42-0 for the Division 2 North title. The result was never in question, as the Knights dominated every phase against the reigning champions.

North Andover will move on to Gillette Stadium (On either November 30th or December 1st) for the D2 state championship game against two-time defending state champion King Philip. But, for now, you can check out some highlights of their big sectional final win below.

North Andover Lax Keeps Rolling against Billerica

North Andover, Mass. - The North Andover Scarlet Knights continued tearing through their opponents, rolling past Merrimack Valley Conference rival Billerica 11-7 at Walsh Stadium.

The Knights never trailed and led by as many as eight. North Andover raced out to a 3-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. The Scarlet Knights led 7-2 at halftime and 10-3 after three quarters.

The win kept the Knights undefeated at 8-0. During its dominant start, North Andover has outscored its opponents 118-34 so far this season.

Hingham ends Lincoln-Sudbury's MA Win Streak; North Andover tops Winchester in Coaches Cup Semis

Hingham became the first Massachusetts team to beat powerful Lincoln-Sudbury in over 1,400 days.

Before yesterday, the Lincoln-Sudbury boys' lacrosse team hadn’t lost a game to a team from Massachusetts in 1,411 days, a streak that stretched 57 games and three Division 1 state championships.

That streak was snapped Saturday, as the Hingham Harbormen scored the only two goals of the fourth quarter to defeat the Warriors, 6-4, in the semifinals of the Coaches Cup at Andover High School.

It was Hingham’s first win over Lincoln-Sudbury since 2011. The Warriors had won the previous three meetings.

Lincoln-Sudbury Continues Run to D2 Super Bowl

SUDBURY – The Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors’ 2017 campaign has been defined by some uncharacteristically lopsided victories in all shapes and sizes.  And yet to put this one in perspective, head coach Tom Lopez couldn’t find a better defensive performance than what took place on the frigid Myers Field turfFriday night. North Andover quarterback Jake McElroy (205 scrimmage yards, TD) made plenty of noise evading the Warriors’ front seven, but the Scarlet Knights also turned the ball over on downs twice in the red zone, while L-S churned out a monster drive late to cap a 27-7 win and capture its first MIAA Division 2 North Final.

MIAA Football Top 25: Week 4

Shane Frommer and his King Phillip teammates now hold the longest active MIAA winning streak. The defending Division 1A state champion Warriors have won 16 games in a row.

2. BC High (3-0; Last Week – 2 ) New quarterback Will Bowen had has best day as a passer during a 30-14 victory for the Eagles down in New Jersey against Hudson Catholic.

3. Central Catholic (3-0; Last Week – 3) Bret Edwards continued to pace an elite Raider offense with 238 combined rushing and passing yards, leading his squad to a 37-20 win over Methuen.

Reading Rolls Past North Andover in D1 North Matchup

READING, Mass. – In the Division 1 boys’ lacrosse state tournament, it pays to be playing your best at the right time.

Reading excelled at all three levels while hosting No. 5 North Andover in a second-round matchup D1 North on Saturday, as the Rockets opened a 9-2 lead early in the their quarter and held on for a 13-9 victory.

Lincoln-Sudbury and Hingham Advance to Coaches Challenge Cup Final

NORTH ANDOVER - Lincoln-Sudbury scored the first three goals of the game and never looked back, as it cruised by Dover-Sherborn 15-5 in the semifinals of the Coaches Challenge Cup.

The Warriors scored two goals 13 seconds apart early to set the tone offensively. Lincoln-Sudbury outshot the short-handed Raiders 38-15.
