The Overthought Podcast: The Next Generation

In the third episode of The Overthought Podcast, editors Jeremy Conlin and Joe Parello, along with their buddy Joe Blake, discuss the ways different generations interact with, and ultimately, stereotype each other.

Why are millennials lazy and entitled? Why do baby boomers always have to make it about them? Why is Generation X so cynical?

Oh, and by the way, are any of those things actually true, and what is a "generation" anyway? Is it just an arbitrary construct, or a legitimate classification for people that have experienced the same things and witnessed the same events at similar ages?

Plus, can we predict the characteristics of the next generation based on the last?

Check out all that, and more, below in this week's podcast.

The Overthought Podcast: Overthinking Time Travel

In the second episode of The Overthought Podcast, editors Joe Parello and Jeremy Conlin, along with their buddy Joe Blake again go way too far down the rabbit hole.

This week's subject is time travel, but luckily we kept head exploding paradoxes and time loops to a minimum. The gang discusses which portrayals of time travel in popular media are best, along with the ethical issues of hypothetical on-demand time travel.

The multiverse theory against a single universe is also debated, and I believe at one point Joe Parello argues that a movie where you accidentally prevent the Titanic from sinking, then have to go back and make sure it does sink would be fun/terrible.

As you might imagine, this one went pretty far off the rails, but don't take my word for it. Listen in below.

Introducing The Overthought Podcast: Overthinking Star Wars

SuiteSports is thrilled to announce Episode IV the first episode of our latest project, The Overthought Podcast.

In honor of Star Wars: The Force Awakens opening in theaters December 18th, editors Joe Parello and Jeremy Conlin, along with their buddy Joe Blake, break down a galaxy far, far away from every possible angle.

Basically, the gang goes way too far down the Star Wars rabbit hole, discussing the scope and impact of the fictional universe, George Lucas' intentions, the failings of the prequels, what it means to be a Jedi, parallels to politics/religion, the future of the saga and much, much more.

Also... HAN. SHOT. FIRST!

Ed. Note- While The OT Pod is far from explicit, we do drop a few F-bombs, so virgin ears beware.

Anyways, check out our first episode below and get in the Star Wars spirit.
