Lobel's Question of the Week: Could You Ever Bench Brady?

Every week, legendary sportscaster Bob Lobel wants to hear your opinion on something that caught his eye over the weekend.

Now you know why "any given Sunday" is in our football vocabulary. The phrase means, of course, that anything can happen and Murphy's Law is always in play.

If it can happen, it will happen.

Forget Buffalo and now begin to think about another name ending in an O: Garoppolo.

Now there was a rare opportunity in Foxboro Saturday, to see the brightness of the future at quarterback for the Patriots.

Here is the question I want to pose, and have you seriously consider: No joke, just very curious.

If you are Bill Belichick, and you determine, at some point, that Jimmy Garoppolo gives you a better shot at winning than Tom Brady, would you make the switch?

Seriously, if it is your determination the Jimmy Football gives you a better shot at winning than Tom Terrific, would you make that move and bench the Golden Boy?

I have made my decision, but mine doesn't matter. It's more fun to ask the question than answer it for me.

So, let me hear what you think. Participate in our poll here.

I'd bench him in a heartbeat if I felt the backup gave the team a better chance of winning. Brady is set for life glory /respect/accolades wise. You cannot fight the age clock...
