MIAA Baseball Top 25 Poll: Week 5

The Mountaineers rotation as them at the top of our poll heading into the midway point of the season.

Weather continues to plague the MIAA Baseball season, with many teams only able to get in one or two games this past week. 

That being said, a number of squads continue to impress in the early going. This week brings a pair of teams to the poll (North Attleboro and Shrewsbury) that are making their first appearance this season while there has been a shakeup at the top.

1. Wachusett (5-0; Last Week: 3) The Mountaineers only played once this week, but take the top spot after knocking off Central Mass. rival St. John’s Shrewsbury to remain undefeated. A busy week that includes Nashoba, Algonquin, and BC High is sure to test their depth

The MIAA Division 1A “Super Eight” tournament and state tournaments are well underway, and that it means the baseball season is slowly coming to a close.

A number of players have left their mark on the 2017 season through memorable pitching performances, jaw dropping stat lines, and being able to single-handedly carry their team to postseason excellence.

There a select few, however, that have caught the attention of every spectator who has seen them perform.
