Catching Up With Bob Lobel: A Pivotal Game for the Sox

On this week's edition of "Catching Up With Bob Lobel," host Joe Parello and legendary sportscaster Bob Lobel discuss Boston's critical game five in Detroit. Can the Sox escape their mini-slump, will Anibal Sanchez again dominate for the Tigers, and can Boston lose tonight and still win the series?

These questions, and more, on "Catching Up With Bob Lobel."

Happy Belated Father's Day and Stanley Cup Observations

By Bob Lobel

As stupid as it will sound. I went out and bought myself a Father’s Day  card. What is even dumber? I bought it a month before Father's Day, I guess thinking they may actually have one this year.

As you can see, the card could be used 24/7, if you hang it outside whatever room you're in when the nap fairy overtakes you. Hey, it happens!

Ok, onward on a lot of random thoughts. Clearly, it is folly to try to dissect  the Stanley Cup Finals in between games three and four, so these observations are just that, observations. Here goes: If games one and two (both overtimes, in case you have forgotten) were played at a level 10 on a 1-10 scale, then game three at the Touch Down Bank Garden in Boston was a tepid 7.
