Bob Lobel: I Don't Even Care About the Brady Decision Anymore

By Bob Lobel (@boblobel)

There comes a point when news becomes old and part of the “who cares” trash. That is where the Brady Ball is for me.

It just hit me today that I really don’t care anymore what happens. Four games, one fourth of a game, 104 games: It's no longer my problem. Or, I should say, I have reached the point where I have become unattached to whatever the outcome turns out to be.

I suspect I'm not alone.

Bob Lobel: The US Open and Brady's Appeal

By Bob Lobel (@boblobel)

Let's start off with a quick quiz: The phrase pandemonium is-

A. A new cleaning agent that attacks poison gas.
B. A new type of high speed train that runs on a unique fuel made from the dung of a species found only in China or,
C. The name given to really curious people, who do really curious things in really curious places, and lack judgement in the work place.

Ok, Sandoval, the error machine at third base for the local 9, who seems to unwind in unique ways at unique times. #Panda!

Bob Lobel: Is this Finally Rock Bottom for Tiger Woods?

By Bob Lobel (@boblobel)

If there were a way to verbalize the feelings I have watching Tiger Woods hit bottom, then I surely would do it here. I can't.

I know how difficult this game is. Seeing Tiger play alone at the latest pro tour event, a symbol of professional incompetence, was stunning to say the least. Yeah, they all say you have to get to the bottom before you can begin to rise again. Maybe, maybe not.

Bob Lobel: The Most "Unique" Figures in Sports

By Bob Lobel (@boblobel)

Plenty of things rolling around between the ears today, so I better throw out the thoughts before I forget them.

Can we depend on the NFL to stop Wes Welker from playing any more football? Everyone seems to know it and see it but him and the people he plays with.  Plus, it really is difficult to comprehend Patriot fans booing him after the service he game them.

Not just service really, more like years of his life.

That was a sobering moment at Gillette Stadium and hard to believe. It will be even harder to forget what a low-class move it was.

Bob Lobel: The Crazy Weekend of Rory, Tony and Robin

By Bob Lobel (@boblobel)

1. Unsuspecting victim?
2. Brutal killer?
3. NASCAR’s answer to how the Romans made their blood sport at the coliseum the most popular thing going?
4. Perp for vehicular homicide
5. Giving NASCAR the brutal truth in how to become more popular than NFL football.
6. Demonstrating how a bad reputation can make you guilty even if you're not, or how a good reputation can save you in tight situations?
7. None or all of the above.

It has become Monday night NASCAR. It finally happened!

A Star Fades: The End of the Tiger Woods Era

By Heidi Leach (@heidileach)

I love golf. As I’ve grown up and learned more about the game, I’ve developed a real appreciation for it. I love spending Sundays watching the last day of the tournament, sipping coffee in the morning and Summer Shandy in the afternoon.  It’s a wonderful way to spend the day, but this past weekend I turned on the WGC-Bridgestone and watched Tiger Woods hit the absolute worst shot I have ever seen him take while wincing in pain.

I cannot lie, my heart fell into my stomach. I honestly feel as if I just watched the end of an era.

Happy Belated Father's Day and Stanley Cup Observations

By Bob Lobel

As stupid as it will sound. I went out and bought myself a Father’s Day  card. What is even dumber? I bought it a month before Father's Day, I guess thinking they may actually have one this year.

As you can see, the card could be used 24/7, if you hang it outside whatever room you're in when the nap fairy overtakes you. Hey, it happens!

Ok, onward on a lot of random thoughts. Clearly, it is folly to try to dissect  the Stanley Cup Finals in between games three and four, so these observations are just that, observations. Here goes: If games one and two (both overtimes, in case you have forgotten) were played at a level 10 on a 1-10 scale, then game three at the Touch Down Bank Garden in Boston was a tepid 7.

Bob Lobel: Why So Serious?

By Bob Lobel

I thought I would take this time to throw out 10 potential headlines for the next couple of months, and speculate which ones are NOT likely to come true.

1. Jagr's Game 7 Goal Sends Bruins to Cup Finals
2. Igninla Hat Trick Sweeps Bruins Into Summer
3. Red Sox Cite "Sweet Caroline" for Late Inning Comebacks
4. Belichick Says Brady's Best Days are Behind Him
5. Kraft Buys Globe; Fires Everyone that Ever Criticized Him
6. Fenway Sports Group Adds Roller Derby Team from Florida into Fold
7. Red Sox Fold
8. Aceves to Start Game One of The Series
9. Sox Offer Free Tickets and Food
10. Bruins do the Same…
