Oh, hey guys!

I know, I know, it's been too long. Since I've gotten a new job and started the process of getting my teaching license, I just haven't had the time to get out on the road and do my usual Central Mass lacrosse thing.

Quite frankly, it's a bummer.

But, all is not lost. Some of our great young writers have provided outstanding CMass lax content this season and, with help from them and a few other people I trust across the region, we are still planning on doing our annual CMass Lax All-Star Team.

With that update out of the way, let's get to the matter at hand: Tournament qualification.

We're hitting crunch time for a bunch of teams hoping to make the tournament, meaning these next two weeks will be make or break for a number of programs across the region.

Let's take a look at who's in, who's out, and who still has work to do.

We've reached the final two days of the regular season, and four Central Mass lacrosse teams are still fighting for their tournament lives. We will know by the end of the day who is in and who is out, but here's a look at the race in every section, with all the games you should keep your eye on this afternoon.

It was a busy week for Central Mass lacrosse, as several more teams punched their tickets to the state tournament since our last update on Tuesday.

As a quick reminder: MIAA lacrosse teams qualify for their respective sectional tournament either by finishing with a .500 record (with the exception of games against teams not recognized by the MIAA), or by finishing in the Top-2 of their league. Central Mass teams compete in three sections across two divisions (D2 and D3 Central/West, plus D3 Central/East).

Here's a look at who's in, who's out, and who still has work to do.

Yesterday we brought you our latest Central Mass Top-10, and today we're going to keep you up to date on which CMass lax teams are tournament bound, and which will be finishing their seasons a little earlier than they had hoped.

We're inching closer to tournament time here in the Bay State, and many teams in Central Mass have already punched their tickets to the dance.

Still, there is work to be done across the region, so let's take a look at who's in, who's out, and who's on the bubble in Central Mass lacrosse.

As a reminder, a team must achieve a .500 record, or win its league, to qualify for the tournament, with the only exception being D3 Groton-Dunstable, which plays in Mid-Wach A, a D2 league. The Crusaders are already in under the "Sullivan Rule," but will likely finish with a winning record either way.

Also note that a team "on the bubble" is one that will need to win more games than it loses the rest of the way to qualify.

Devin Pietz and his Shepherd Hill Rams still have work to do, but a big win at Oakmont has them in the thick of the tournament race.

The race for the postseason is heating up around Central Mass, and several lacrosse teams have already clinched a spot in the state tournament. As we enter the middle of May, here is where all the teams stand in the three different districts CMass squads call home.

To qualify for the postseason, a team needs to achieve at least a .500 record, or win their league. Since there are no leagues in Central Mass where a champion could conceivably finish the year with a losing record, just count on the fact that your favorite team will need to get to .500 to make the tournament.

The only exception to that being Groton-Dunstable, who has already qualified via the Sullivan Rule, which we'll get into below. And even with that exception, the Crusaders are likely to again have a winning record.
